Every landscape inspires its own distinct design, and we consider all of the possibilities, from the orientation and placement of the home to how the property may lend itself to a unique integration of interior and exterior spaces.
Site & Setting Considerations
Optimal positioning of your home on the property speaks to more than taking advantage of the best views available. We carefully consider how light will fall on proposed rooms at different times of the day, and how certain building materials or design features may affect the overall temperature of the house. If you prefer open windows and a breeze in the summertime, we may skew the orientation to take advantage of natural airflow.
Aesthetical considerations are important as well. There may be many ways to hang a window on a beautiful view; which way will best speak to the ideas you have in mind? We gravitate towards architects or designers whose standards are in line with our own.
